Today was the bank’s first AGM since I assumed this role and I am proud of the results we have yielded so far.
I’d like to thank all who have kept your confidence in UBA Group and for investing in us and our collective future. Over the past few months we have made great strides, despite the volatility of commodity prices and the outbreak of the Ebola virus disease in some of our operating countries. I am pleased to say that our 1st quarter results for 2015 are a testimony to the progress our bank is making.
We have oriented our management to drive customer service and efficient operations, because this is how we can create sustainable value for our shareholders. UBA has also recently installed state of the art technology across our bank’s network, in order to achieve superior customer experience at our various service touch points.
This new technology has significantly improved security and customer experience. As a fellow shareholder and user of UBA products, I am impressed by these positive trends. As the chairman of the bank, I look forward to the year ahead with great optimism. And to those of you who bank with us, I thank you for your continued custom and patronage!
