Running for the second year is Lagos theatre festival, described as “the largest ever outdoor theatre festival to take place in the city.” It promises to be a spectacular event, transforming Freedom Park into a colourful backdrop for productions from the likes of writer and filmmaker Jude Idada (who won an AMAA Award for Best Screenplay in 2010), playwright and essayist Lekan Balogun and internationally acclaimed Nigerian writer and director Wole Oguntokun. The plays touch on a variety of issues including Lagos nightlife, the national lottery and the healthcare system

Shows begin at 1pm Daily

Venue: Freedom Park, Hospital Road (Behind St. Nicholas Hospital), Old Prison Ground Onikan, Lagos
