Iconic Nigerian Producer/Director Amaka Igwe died today aged 51.
The veteran producer responsible for the popular soap opera ‘Fuji House of Commotion’ suffered an asthma attack and died before reaching the hospital.
A prolific filmmaker she was reported to be in Enugu making preparations for a new Igbo soap. Nollywood stars lead tributes on Twitter describing her asan ‘icon’ and a ‘colossus’ of Nigerian film.
She is survived by her husband, three children and her mother.
