The three missing children of the Orekoya family kidnapped by their nanny, have been found in Lagos State where they were taken hostage.

The Children between the ages of 6, 4 and 11 months old were allegedly abducted by the housemaid on April 8, a day into her job as the family maid. In a developing angle to the story, it was said that the housemaid, Mary Akinloye, a 23-year-old indigene of Ibadan, Oyo State, was hired through OLX, a leading online trading portal.
In a swift response, OLX reacting through its Brand Manager, Fifemayo Aiyesimoju disclosed that they feel the pain the family of the missing children might be going through at the moment.
“Our sympathies go out to the victim and their family,” Lola Masha, OLX Nigeria Country Manager said in a signed statement issued on Saturday .
OLX Nigeria described the incident as “unfortunate” and added that, “OLX is an online classifieds site that brings buyers and sellers together to promote trade.”
“We take steps to moderate and review all ads but we do not participate in the negotiations between buyers and sellers. Transactions are performed directly between both parties. In all our marketing campaign, we continuously urge our users to take necessary precautionary checks when using OLX,” the statement explained.
“We continue to innovate and improve our review process with tighter measures that would help to minimize future occurrence of negative incidents,”.
