Due to this societal neglect on the girl-child He said, women are now embracing what used to be vices for male children and therefore proposed a balanced attention to the sexes as he said Governor Okorocha Okorocha has been of immense encouragement and motivation towards his effort at youth empowerment through sports and other social developmental projects geared towards young people in and outside the state.
The Deputy Governor went further to proposed a collaboration between The Youths Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFN) and his partners from Monarch and Co to host the first female football competition in Imo State and called on well-meaning Nigerians to invest in sports development as a means to enhance unity and harmony in the society.

It will be recalled that Eze Madumere has at different times in the state sponsored sporting activities, one of such efforts (Prince Eze Madumere Unity Cup) spans over thirty years geared towards uniting the Youths towards achieving peace in his immediate community.
