Dolapo and Lilian Said ‘I Do’ to the Cape-Jumpsuit

Yay! Don’t you just love… love? This seems to be the ‘I do’ season for Nigerian celebrities. The wedding of TV personality, Dolapo Oni, and her beau, Prince Adegbite Sijuwade, was one that got the social media world and blogs buzzing, mainly because of the class and elegance it exuded – and especially the gorgeous Romona Keveza gown the bride looked divine in.

Just stunning!

And yay! The wedding bells went off again yesterday, 15th October, as Lilian Esoro and Triple MG boss, Ubi Franklin, twined their hearts forever and exchanged vows at a registry in Lagos. But don’t feel sour just yet; they plan a grandiose event – as we Nigerians don’t joke with that – for friends and family on 1st November.

Yup, we’ve saved the date Ubi!

Now to the beautiful brides… Thanks to Solange’s brilliant and iconic wedding outfits – which featured two jumpsuits by the way, cape-Jumpsuits have become a thing for defiantly stylish women as a ‘second-wedding-dress’ go-to style choice. Dolapo’s second dress, a jumpsuit by Lebanese designer, Krikor Jabotian, featured floral details on the shoulders, ruching on the bodice and caped-pants.

While Lilian Esoro’s jumpsuit featured a front-to-back cape with a bead-like crest.

The cape-jumpsuit trend definitely isn’t done making statements, and we aren’t done listening. We are just not about that life-without-the-cape-jumpsuit yet.
